I am a jewelry maker (metalsmith and lampworker) but was never really interested in wire wrapping until I saw the jewelry that Janice Berkbile made. I took one of her workshops a couple of months ago and made a beatiful pendant that I just love. I always get comments on it when I wear it out in public. Anyway, wanting to learn more I pre-ordered her book back in February and I must say that it was worth the wait!This book is loaded with beautiful projects by two artists: Janice Berkbile and Tracy Stanely. The first 25 pages of the book discuss the tools and materials used, and explain the basic techniques in detail. This is then followed by the actual projects. There are 24 projects in the book. Twelve by each artist. The book is just loaded with great photos showing every step of the process. The instructions are clearly written and easy to follow.If you are a lampworker and want new ways to show off your beads then you will love this book.There is an 8 page gallery at the end of the book which showcases more of their work. Very inspiring!

This is a gorgeous book. I make lampwork and fused glass beads and baubles and was looking for a more creative way to present them. I've only tried one project so far, and it was a simple one, but it was fairly easy to follow and turned out great with the limited wireworking tools I have (just a regular hammer and some jewelers pliers). I've ordered some more tools and wire and I can't wait to make some more complex items.The instructions in the book are well documented and the photos are excellent and most of them have a few variations on the main project to give you some idea on how you can advance the concept being taught.I'm sure this book won't make me as awesome a wire worked as Berkebile, but it already will give me some creative concepts that I don't see very often.

This book is by Janice Berkebile and Tracy Stanley. I have had the pleasure of taking WORKSHOPS with both and found both of them to be excellent teachers. When I took from Janice, this book was not in existence. I just finished a workshop with TRACY and she told me to order it on Amazon, which I did. I took it to Staples and had the spine coiled so that it would lay flat while I worked. THIS BOOK IS AMAZING. It identifies all your tools, it shows step by step what you do to create what you want. I have now set up my workshop and at Tracy's suggestion, I PRACTICE everyday for whatever amount of time I have. It takes practice at any art to become proficient. I was lucky enough to get to take from the 2 authors, but I HONESTLY believe that with this book, I could have made some fun and amazing items.

I really like that there is a tools list, and projects. I am teaching myself from this book, doing these projects. If I need to see real life of anything, I look up on an internet videos, so far it is working for me.

Bought as gift for great niece made a box full of all that is needed to make jewelry.She loved each item that was purchased to put in carry box. Great Gift.Great purchase all as described came on time.

I’ve read through a few areas/sections of this book a few times and there’s no doubt it will teach me so much, I would never know there are so many options with this form of art. Your only limitation is your imagination.

This book is highly informative for expanding your ability to making jewelry from just the simple beads and string or wire techniques. The directions are easy to follow and the pictures are a very clear representation of what each step should look like. This is a good book for any level of expertise one might possess with interesting and useful projects.

I just started working with wire and found this book quite helpful. It has a great overview of tools and supplies, and the instructions for making the jewelry are easy to understand a follow. Most of all, I love the pictures of the finished products. Very inspiring!! These designers do absolutely beautiful work!!

Wow I am shocked at how well this is rated. There is so much fan fiction that is better written. The writing is trite and cliched. The author needs new words, I lost count how many times the word "badass" and "hottie" were used. Even the plot manages to be so painfully predictable.Her attempt at writing a "badass" female character is rather insulting. Not only is the Bri a special Celestial (the rarest of the fallen), she's touched by all four arch angels, and Lucifer, and there's a prophecy about her and she has a special weapon that talks to her that that is so rare it's possibly the only one on earth. Yet she acts like a petulant tween, acting out to show she's "badass".The romance (and this is what the book attempts to hinge on) is terrible. I've read many stories of two characters that are opposites become attracted to each other. This one doesn't work. It tells and doesn't show. The main characters inner monologue basically goes from oh he's such a dick and I hate him, to oh he's so hot why do I feel this? Oh, I feel bad about his tragic past (because of course he has one) To oh I'm so in love with him.Cliches are abound. It's bad when you can finish the author's sentences before you read them. Also, Here's an example of the writing: "Lincoln Grey lit a fire within me. I wasn't sure if it was a good one or a bad one, but I was engulfed in the heat nonetheless."I rarely write reviews, but I'm just mind boggled that this was at the top of Amazons best sellers when I bought this book. I guess the only thing going for it is that it's hard to put the book down, like watching a train crash and burn.

Set in Los Angeles (one no longer like we know it) you have an epic battle of good vs. evil and the best cast of characters ever!!!!Brielle will steal your heart and you will want to be a part of her team! Shea is the most epic BFF ever. Lincoln will grow on you and everyone else is just as good.Tons of excitement, suspense as to wtf is going on and really just an epic read!! It has it all people... Angels, demons, shifters, mages, and the list goes on... everything you could want in a book! Read it! I promise you will not be disappointed... but you will be sad year 2 isn’t out yet! LOL

It was so good. This is Brielle's first year and she's sent to the school she's not anticipating. And, we get to learn all about her and her awesome guardians, fun best friend and her trusty sidekick, Sera. Ummm, Sera is me. She says stuff that I'd totally say and it's a fun time listening to her blade. No for real, Sera is her blade.*sighs* I can see you don't believe me on her blade name. You know what this means?You'll need to read the book. It's so good. It's great paced, good world building, great angst between her and her other half. It fun to read and never a dull moment. You'll open the first page and before you know it... you're readingTo be continued...And you'll be frantically screaming inside that surely it's a joke, that's there's more and you realize... that there really isn't more, but you know what? That's ok because...Book 2 is out in 2 months! And, that is doable. Waiting a year? Shoot me now. 2 months? Doable. Especially since she has Dream wars out. Which if you haven't read that, you must buy it. There are two of three books of that out!

When I first found out Leia's new book was about angels and demons, I was a smidge uncertain. It is usually such a crowded genre without many variations. I don't even know why I worried-even slightly. (Forgive me Leia!) It was truly amazing, as is EVERYTHING she does. And honestly, every single book she does is better than her last. Fallen Academy: Year One seriously takes the cake. I neglected absolutely everything I was supposed to be doing to read this all in one sitting because I could. not. put. it. down. SO creative, SO interesting and such a great storyline with a twist on the genre. It is unlike anything I have read before. I love the main character Brielle, she is snarky, brazen and all around awesome. Lincoln is a grade A jerk but I love him anyway! Do not hesitate to read this! Hit 'One Click', do it! You won't be sorry.

He was the man who left his family when they needed him and is determined to ruin his beloved daughter Darla.But fate has a different plan and with Darla's special gift of seeing visions of what is to come, she sees a vision of Wesley. He does not expect to care about her and with the whispers from his evil brother, it is hard to discern the trust.A fast paced tale with many twist and turns that highlight a mystery that the author handles with wonderful characters and even pirates that kept me quickly turning until the last page!

With revenge in his heart and mind, Wesley manipulates his way into Maxwell’s good graces. But, fate has a different choice for him. Meeting and becoming enamored with Darla Maxwell, he begins to doubt his decision. Pushed by his brother, Flynn, Wesley is unsure which direction is the way: revenge or revealing the lies. There are many plot twists, revelations and a bit of the mystic in this engaging story.

Pirates, dragons, stormy seas, and a witch. What a fun read that had me rooting for Wesley and Darla from the beginning. I also appreciated the careful details used in the ships, rigging, and sailing. Ms. Casie delivered an action-packed love story that is sure to please.

This is a great story about Darla and Wesley and the feelings and love that they found in each other. I could go in and on about the story but it needs to be read and enjoyed!!

She is a young woman with visions that often come true. Now she is having visions about a man, but they are not clear enough to see who he is. She feels certain that it has to be Lord Ewans soon to be son in law, but that all changes when she meets Wesley and to her that says it all.Sometimes things are not always what they seem. Certain things come to light indicating that Wesley has been deceived and therefore his revenge misplaced.Ruth A. Casie writes a great addition to the Pirates of Britannia.Wesley seems like a nice guy as long as you don't rub him the wrong way. Pirates pillage, tempers heat up, and there is also love to be found.

Love this whole series and have not been disappointed by any but this author is new to me but think she did an amazing job with the storyline and using it to her advantage.Witch or no Witch seems to be the biggest problem for our heroine in this book but she struggles until it is all finally clear.Good guy or Pirate who can't be saved seems to be the hero's biggest problem as his head tells him one thing while his heart tells him another story. Yet he has an even eviler brother at his ear with the story he wants him to know but is it true?As this tale twists and turns on the high seas and on land will keep you reading just to find out.Great read and highly recommend!

Neither are true; we're talking about a 1,400 year old religion.It's one of the best things I've read. It goes into detail both into Iran's history and Islam's rise to becoming one of the world's major religions. He's quite right in that all religions have a blood-drenched history; Islam is not unique in this regard. There are as many interpretations of the Koran as there are of the Bible.Radical Islamists might have killed thousands of Westerners, but they've killed hundreds of thousands of Muslims. Anyone who does not share their ideology, which few do, is considered a valid target for mass murder. It is a major shame than reformers within the Muslim community receive little support from either side of the political spectrum, albeit for different reasons. It's other Muslims that suffer the most from this sort of silence.As for Iran, there is a certain irony to the fact that the most anti-American government in the Middle East has the most pro-American population. The majority of the population has no personal memory of the Shah and even some of the older ones who do see the Theocratic government as even worse than what it replaced. The democracy movement has not ended, contrary to what was claimed in 2009. Protests continue today, though the media is focused on other events.There is a tidbit of information I wish he had mentioned, however: Muhammad had 13 wives over the course of his life, but had children only with two, and only children from his first wife survived. Birth control was nonexistent in a tribal society. If you were having sex, you were having kids. It's been described as "curious" but at least to me, it could mean Muhammad did not have sex with his other wives.One thing I do disagree with the author on is that I consider it more likely that the mullahs in Iran are more likely to a Tiananmen Square-style massacre than they are to lose power. They clearly aren't hesitate to torture, imprison, and kill anyone who disagrees with their vision. I could be wrong about this, I admit, but that's what the situation appears to be right now.Well worth reading.

When I read "Microcosms" written by the same author, I was left wondering what made people who where not from Italy, eager to read the little life in some little places that even I as an Italian didn't know at all, but then of course there was the writing which helped to lift the whole book to a new level. "Journeying" is even better, in my opinion, because most of all we are talking about Europe (with the exception of the last chapters) and many little details are left off to make the reading easier. A very good book.Quando lessi "Microcosmi" scritto dallo stesso autore, mi sono piú volte soffermata a chiedermi le ragioni che lettori stranieri potessero avere per leggere un libro su alcuni posti talmente sperduti che nemmeno noi italiani conosciamo, certo poi si inserisce il fattore scrittura e tutto si chiarisce. Ma "L'infinito viaggiare" é secondo me piú bello, prima di tutto perché parla in generale (tranne gli ultimi capitoli) di posti piuttosto famosi in Europa e poi scende meno dei dettagli e rende quindi la scrittura piú scorrevole. Libro molto bello.
