This book is perhaps one of the most valuable additions to my proverbial "five-foot bookshelf" of field guides (trust me, it's much longer than five feet!). I was so impressed by it that I purchased a second copy for a friend who often goes with me in the field to search for rare species. The terms are clearly defined and best of all, illustrated in such a manner that makes the meanings quite plain. I would recommend it to anyone from intermediate amateur to professional. After all, we do tend to forget those terms we only use occasionally. Without the slightest hesitation, I give this book a full five stars. If I could make them xanthous, I would.

I am a graduate student and I spend a lot of time in the herbarium identifying plants using dichotomous keys. I use this terminology book whenever I am keying plants. It has been an invaluable resource to me. I used it on at least 10 different occasions during my plant ID session just today actually. So yeah, this book is very helpful for anyone who needs to understand the terminology associated with plant descriptions and characteristics. For example: If you have ever wondered how to describe the different types of hairs you see on plants when you look at them with a hand lens or with a dissecting microscope this book provides the definitions and illustrations of the many different kinds of hairs and other surface textures that you might see on plants (Laypeople/non-plant people have probably never seen so many different ways to describe "hairy".)

This has been a very helpful resource in my Landscape Plant identification course. It has allowed me to study plants in more detail. It also helps me with spelling out technical terms, which is great. There are a number of illustrations that help explain different terms. It was a little confusing to use at first and wasn't exactly what I expected, but I love it now.The best way to describe this book is as a plant term dictionary.

Fantastic resource for anyone new or even intermediate level botany experience. Great resource to use with more technical manuals. I use it regularly with Flora of Virginia to wade through the technicalities and keys. I am new to botany and I could not get by without this resource. Almost everything is shown in picture/diagram along with definitions.

I started studying botany a few years ago and there is so much terminology! This book is handy when I am using different guides that choose words I don't use much or at all, and help me get my plants identifed accurately with fewer guesses about fine details! I love the illustrations too; very clear.

This book is exactly what you want it to be; Complete: Every single identification term I came across in Hitchcock's Flora guide was in this book, and for those who don't know that's a LOT. Clear: Easy to understand language is often accompanied by nice clear illustrations. Size/Shape: Well, it's a square book that is probably 12"x12" and 1cm thick. It is not too heavy, but on that note it is bound like any other run-of-the-mill "non-field" style books; don't expect it to stand up to heavy abuse.Bottom line: If you need a book of this type, feel confident getting this one. There could be ones out there that are equally as good, but if I ever need to replace this copy I won't bother shopping around.

Fantastic book! This book will be of great help in trying to identify plants using keys. Most of the keys will have a glossary of the technical terms used in describing a plant, but there are seldom any pictures to really show what the terms mean and how they really appear. Often several forms of the same structure or description are listed when different forms of the same word are used by different authors. The vocabulary associated with the identification of plants from family through species can be very confusing, and this book goes far to explain the technical words. Some knowledge of botany is needed and many of the terms require a hand lens or dissecting microscope to be able to see the structures. It's certainly the best book of its kind that I have found.

I received this music book for Christmas. It’s a perfect addition to my music library. What is so very special about this book is that it tells you about where the music was first performed and the artist that sang the songs. I’m sure this song book will become one of my favorite. I have a really smart husband, now I will be playing for hours and he can enjoy the football game with out interruptions from me!

These decade books are wonderful and have many popular songs of the era. I use this to give background music to gatherings and receptionsand the residents love hearing songs they heard on the radio. The book arrived in great condition and was well packaged. I was happy how quickly it arrived.

Great book. Sixteen Candles is one of my favorite Dan Coates songs to play. As always, it's up to the player to get the most out of the arrangement. I wouldn't worry about any negative review. If you like Dan Coates then you will like this book.

He would say the most cutest things and would rat his mother out in a drop of the hat to Mr. C. Their relationship was so cute and caused some worry with Corey. He had his nerves getting jealous of his son's relationship with his ex-wife"s new beau. He had some balls trying to worm his way back into Tiff"s life even though he was remarried.Everyone needs a BFF like Jewel. That girl would really tell Tiffany like it really is and had no verbal filter. She had Tiff's back in all things. They had their disagreements but they understood each other and quickly made up.What I did not like about this book is that it left me hanging. I'm hoping the author will write another book to this series to answer the questions I have. I'm just glad that it looks like Carter, Tiff and Xai will be getting their HEA.

This book gave me so many feels! First, let me just say that Xavior is the cutest freaking kid. I seriously think I want a book of just his antics. Jewel was my boo, and so freaking funny. Carter, “yum”. Shall I say more?Ml Preston did an amazing job depicted love for this couple. Wounded and heartbroken, Tiffany is just a divorcee trying get her life in order. In no way was she looking for love. But Carter, wanted nothing more than to give her more love than she can handle.Great job! I’m waiting on Part Two at the door.

I debated purchasing this book because most of the reviews referenced a book two. However, when asked if this was a cliffhanger one reader answered no. Well it is! Now on to the book itself. The H (Carter) is written very well. He is multifaceted (work hard, play hard, love hard). The h (Tiffany) falls flat. I just couldn't get into her character. It's as though the author didn't know what to do with her. She's all over the place. There are a few grammatical and editing errors. I won't request a refund but I was done at the "to be continued".

Great story! Carter was ready to throw in all his cards to be with the gorgeous bombshell Tiffany. She changed his life making him value family. I loved Tiffany and Carters chemistry. I wished Tiff would have been able to give Carter a fair shake at times. I get it. She wanted to make sure she was making the right decision. Book 2 I need you!

This book had soooo many underlying layers and themes; loving again after being hurt, getting through a divorce, real friendship/sisterhood, and of course, SEXINESS!Author ML Preston gave us readers a fresh Vegas experience with this new book and I absolutely enjoyed it! Loved the casino life, the interactions between Tiffany and her adorable son and don't even get me started on the sex...HAWT!Five well-deserved stars!

This is my first time reading this author's work. I thoroughly enjoyed this storyline. The best friend bond between Tiffany and Jewels is nice. The relationship with Carter and Tiffany is full of turns and excitement.

Wow.. What a awesome read!! When I tell you you won't be disappointed!!! Carter and Tiffany's story really pulled me in.. I have never cheered a couple on more than I did for them!! I'm not a huge fan of cliffhangers but this book was worth it. I can't wait til part 2... Please don't leave me waiting long!!!!

This is my first time reading anything from this author. I really did enjoy this book. I thought the plot was great the chemistry buildup was great and the different drama scenarios was awesome. I think this author really hit every detail in this book that she wanted to deliver. I can't wait for part 2 the job author.
