Ha-ha! I can't contain myself to give a review. I have subscribed to Shane's newsletter since he started the PC website. Shane is an outspoken people's advocate and is saving their health from the claws of allopathic toxic drugs and showing them a way to weight loss and better health. True, he sells his own supplements (which are excellent, by the way, pure and effective, but the book is for people who cannot afford them and these are suggestions of how to improve one's health for spending very little money.As for the bad reviews, I love to read them, because most of the time they start with "I am a doctor, nurse, pharmacist, I did not buy the book, but I know the book is crap, Shane is a con artist, and Quackwatch says it all" in a nutshell. Like being a doctor is an authority on health, when the truth is most people turn to alternative medicine because they get no help from their doctors. If I had listened to my doctor over the years I would be very sick if not dead by now.So kudos to Shane for spreading the message and doing a great service to the people. If he makes money on the way, who not. His supplements are getting people off toxic drugs and returning them to good health. As for Quackwatch, anybody with a brain knows what they are about.
We were 20 year olds, recently married, when a doctor told us my wife would never be able to have children because of an ovarian cyst that required a hysterectomy and removal of both ovaries. A second opinion doctor said no operation was immediately needed. We listened to the second doc and went on to have five healthy children.I was diagnosed with chronic lymphocytic leukemia three years ago and was told by an oncologist I would have to start chemotherapy treatment to avoid rapid deterioration to the acute stage. I watched my wife die in a nursing home after years of taking prescription meds, saw my grandson pass at age 23 from leukemia after a year of chemo, and my son-in-law die at 42 from bladder cancer after chemo and radiation treatment at MD Anderson Cancer Center.A second opinion on my cancer treatment was needed.At the recommendation of one of my sons I got the book Over-the- Counter Natural Cures, which has a chapter on cancer and a natural protocol to treat it. After reading the book and doing extensive online research, I decided to take the natural road, where I have control over my treatment and my life. Oncologist scare tactics and pressure to take chemo makes most people afraid to do anything else.They pressured me but I knew from experience that when you yield and sign over your life to the care of the medical system the outcome is unknown, probably not good. I saw that close up and personal.This book explains cancer in a simple way that I never heard from any of the doctors at the cancer centers. It gave me confidence to treat my own cancer, in my own way, and retain control.I wouldn't say the treatment protocol is easy. Sugar is cancer's main growth fuel. Cutting back on it, for me, was hard. I have a serious sweet tooth. But I know taking chemo and being deathly sick from it all the time is harder.I started taking the recommended turmeric extract, paw paw, and other supplements like desiccated beef organs to provide nutrition for my immune system to build up its defenses. I started the 18-minute workout routine recommended by Ellison. It was a big diet and lifestyle change but I now eat mostly foods that give me vitality and strength, and I keep moving.The natural protocol has built up my immune system. I can feel it. I'm now able to fight off skin infections, UTI's and bacterial pneumonia without antibiotics, something I wasn't able to do before. My platelet, red cell, and hemoglobin counts have increased. A dangerously high white count is down to almost normal, and malignant B-lymphocytes have decreased.I'm curing my cancer without chemo.Conventional cancer treatment destroys your immune system. It killed so many immune cells in my grandson's body that he had to get a bone marrow transplant from his brother. It couldn't save him though. His immunity was too far gone to fight sepsis and his organs failed.Taking chemotherapy is like playing the slots in Vegas. Oncologists know chemo kills cancer cells and normal cells. The bet is that there will be enough good cells left after the chemical flood for immunity to take hold, fight the remaining cancer cells, and stave off deadly infections.The chemo slots don't usually pay though as contribution to adult five-year survival is less than 3 percent according to a study by Morgan, Ward, and Barton. Other studies have come to the same dismal conclusions. Negative impact on quality of life however is 100 percent, and cytotoxic damage to good cells in skin, tissues, organs, and brain, puts the patient at high risk of matastasizing existing cancer, as well as development of future cancers.I haven't lived the life of a saint. I've been hard on my body, smoked for decades, diet not so good, and have exposed myself to asbestos in my work. Any or all of these may have contributed to my cancer.It may sound funny, but I'm happy to have leukemia and to be able to treat it naturally. I'm happy that I can still do what I want, go where I want, and live an active lifestyle at 89 years old. My dear relatives went down the conventional treatment road, they suffered horribly from chemo, radiation, and surgery, and they're no longer with us.My original oncologist, and the one I transferred to after changing insurance providers, stopped pitching me on chemo and advised me to keep on doing whatever I'm doing. My lab results proved to them that there is another way.If you've been diagnosed with cancer I recommend giving yourself a second opinion. Slow down, breathe, steady yourself. You have time. Take some of it to read this book and learn about Ellison's natural cancer treatment protocol. Research and verify, get acquainted with your real options. Then, only then, make your informed choice about the road you will take.
Get it and read it.. you will be very surprised at the contents.. backs up with science, references, and a ton of eye opening information everyone should know.. take it with a grain of salt and BREATHE... start slow.. read the labels in your pantry, your vitamins and pain meds and yes even your food and personal care items and the world we live in now.Start looking and READING what is in it .. he will tell you where to get decent clean herbals suppliments or he sells his own clean brand for some things.. you are given the information and you can make choices.. start slow..READ and read it again..google if you must on some things, ingredients, you dont know.. and get your life back.. some will and some will not..we all make choices..i chose to gift this book to a couple friends as well. It is technical in spots and easy to read and a warning for sensitive folk.. he is outspoken and blunt and not politically correct. I like that sort of honesty..no snake oil fillers or fluff here.. just facts backed by science and years of experience. Get the book, read it, and use it. Great book. If you want to live young be healthy and get off medication for diabetes purchase this book and take your time reading. I have purchased six of these books and have given them to friends and family members. I have followed the advice of this chemist and I must say Mr. Shane Ellison is on point with the information he has written about in this book. I advise anyone who wants to be free of medication and wants to live young to definitely purchase this book and go on his website. He has put out a lot of information for anyone who wants to take charge of their own Heath and get back to being totally 100% healthy.
A must-read for anyone who cares about the health of loved ones and self. Within 24 hours of getting this book I had a bunch of pages marked and marched off to the Vitamin Shoppe and Walmart. I want to take this book and whack my Dr. over the head.... for putting my husband on ambien, for trying to put me on nasty IBS meds with horrible side effects.... But alas it's not a hardcover book, and I don't want to get it dirty! Take charge of your own health. Don't blindly trust Dr.'s prescriptions, because your Dr. Is in big pharma's back pocket! READ THIS BOOK!
