I love Saxon Math books. I have used them for years and continue to use them.
Let me start by saying that the company is fantastic. The book came in early, and was in PERFECT condition when it was only listed as good. I will buy from Bright light again. Now on to the product, Saxon math is known as a "premiere" math curriculum. If you are using it up to Algebra one yes it is good. Now with A2 it is by far one of the worst products you can get. They do not offer Geometry before hand nor do they even have a math book for it, and some how they expect your children to just know it. Throughout the entire book they are going over Geometry work without explaining how to do it, or why we are doing it. I have had to go out and get a whole new curriculum for this year because of how bad this one is. My daughter took geometry last year and ended with a high B, my other students took Saxon A1 and ended withs A's and B's, yet they are failing Saxon Algebra2.If you were looking to purchased this book to teach your children Algebra 2 or enhance their Algebra 2 corse I would avoid it at all cost.
Though I like Saxon as math books go, this particular one is behind the curve in what they are teaching in schools in Florida anyway. Nice book, great price...just not needed.
